Hurry and book! Cruise with a Mission just released great discounts for booking your spot for CWM 2008. Get $100 off if you sign up now until July 1, 2008. If you missed the deadline, not to worry, there is another chance to get a $50 discount, from July 2nd through July 15th. After July 15th, there will no longer be any discounts offered and tickets will be full price. Don’t delay and quickly book your spot! Remember to tell your friends too.

Doctors and Dentists Needed: We are looking to assemble a team of 30 physicians and 30 dentists for two intense days of medical and dental care in Belize City, Belize, and Puerto Barrios, Guatemala. We have secured the civic center in Belize City and a technical college campus in Puerto Barrios and are planning on caring for 500+ patients in a 6 hour day in each location for a total of 1000+ served. To achieve this ambitious goal, we will use a broadband approach, meaning implementing many providers to achieve in a short period what a few providers can over a longer trip. This is the reason for seeking out such large venues – to allow us space to spread out and do our thing. And it's not so ambitious for 30 physicians to see 500 patients in 5 hours; each would only need to see 3.3 per hour, leaving plenty of time to pray for the patients as well and to see a few extra patients if necessary. Discounts of $100 and $50 are being offered, so book your spot now! Once you sign up, look into the cost of your flight to Tampa Airport (TPA) online with various airlines or discount travel sites. Shop around and make a comparison to ensure you get the best price within your budget. Even though Holland America does not have a baggage limit, the airlines do. Recently, some airlines have started charging for checked bags. Make sure you read all the fine print before you purchase your flight.

PASSPORTS are required. Please make sure you have one that does not expire within 6 months after the cruise. If you do not have one, apply as soon as possible.

Short of cash? Here are some fundraising ideas thanks to Pastor Genevieve Koh and Renee Ward:
- Download the sample letter and send it off to the church and organizations to help raise some funds (click here to download).
- Ask people directly to sponsor your mission trip.
- Ride and walk everywhere and cut your fuel costs down – it all adds up.
- Ask your close friends and family for an advance on your birthday or Christmas gift money.
- Put that tax rebate to good use.
- Re-arrange your budget for the year. Remember that the whole cost is approx $1000 for the cruise + flight/drive + some spending money. So set your goal and divide it up into a weekly target. If you think the whole thing will cost $1500 than you know that each week you need to raise or put aside around $29.
